Taylor Bunch and Kasey Berecz

Taylor Bunch and Kasey Berecz

Meet Taylor

Born and raised in Brooklet, GA, Taylor Bunch is proud to represent her hometown in this year’s Dancing with the Statesboro Stars. She is a wife and mom to two amazing girls, ages 10 and 8, who keep her life full of sparkle and spirit. As the co-owner of Taylor’s Tanning and Boutique alongside her dad—who started the business in 1995—she added the boutique in 2014 and has loved growing it ever since.

A lifelong cheerleader, she’s cheered since childhood and even had the honor of coaching high school competition cheer for two years in her hometown. These days, she is a proud dance mom at Elite Dance, where her girls have trained and competed for the past four years. Now, they are thrilled to return the favor—cheering her on as she takes the stage!

Meet Kasey

Born and raised in central Illinois, Kasey Berecz has called Statesboro home for the past 12 years. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing and a heart for creativity, she has built her career around community and connection. She currently serves as the Executive Assistant II to the Dean in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at Georgia Southern University, where she also leads the college’s marketing and social media efforts. Outside the university, she manages social media for Elite Dance and Taylor’s Tanning and Boutique as a member of their staff.

Dance has been a lifelong passion, beginning at age 7. Kasey trained in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, and pointe, spending her youth competing at national dance competitions. Her passion continued through high school and into college, where she danced on the Illinois State University competitive team, earning two top 10 national titles.

Today, she shares that same love of dance with her two daughters—Tinley (10) and Teagan (8)—who have been dancing at Elite Dance since the age of two and a half. This year’s Dancing with the Statesboro Stars performance holds special meaning, as Kasey dances in memory of her wonderful, loving husband—the girls’ father, her high school sweetheart, and her greatest supporter. His unexpected passing left a void in their lives, but she knows he is still cheering them on from above.

Kasey is honored to be part of this year’s Dancing with the Statesboro Stars, proud to take the stage in support of such a meaningful cause and to dance once again—this time for something bigger than herself.

I have enjoyed watching Dancing with the Statesboro Stars over the years and know some of the wonderful people who help make it happen, so when the opportunity to participate came my way, I was excited to jump in.

This is my first time dancing in the event, and while my only formal training was a bit of ballet as a kid, I have always loved music and having a good time. Rehearsals have been a blast, and getting to know the other participants has made the experience even better. Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, playing games on the weekends, and finding fun local events to attend. I am truly thankful for the chance to be a part of something that brings the community together for such a great cause. I cannot wait to hit the stage!
